There is one Change Emitter Node that is created for your Tenant when you create your Tenant.
Any change that you make to your Tenant's processing network are emitted by the Change Emitter Node as echo.change
messages.
The Change Emitter Node is automatically connected to your Tenant's App Change Router Node. You cannot delete this Edge.
While the primary use case for change messages in EchoStream is to allow Apps to dynamically respond to those changes, you may create a Node that can receive and process echo.change
messages. Some use cases for this processing may include:
- Sending an alert to your alert management application (e.g. - OpsGenie, PagerDuty, VictorOps, etc.) so that your Ops team can review every change made to your processing network.
- Recording all changes into a Data Lake for storage and analysis.
- Sending the change to a Machine Learning application to look for bad or nefarious changes in near real-time.
