Users in your Tenant have rights to view and/or modify aspects of your Tenant based upon their role.
Users will predominently interact with your Tenant via the EchoStream UI. However, they can also interact directly throught the API
Inviting Users
To invite a user, simply enter their email address and assign them a role.
If the invited User is already an EchoStream User, they will be immediately activated within your Tenant and will be sent an email notifying them that you have added them.
If the invited User is not already an EchoStream User, they will be placed in a pending state within your Tenant and sent an email inviting them to register in EchoStream. Once they are registered, they will be activated within your Tenant.
Roles
EchoStream supports several different roles for Users within your Tenant. All roles may be represented by multiple Users.
Role | Permissions |
---|---|
owner | Everything, including designating other owners and deleteing the Tenant |
admin | Everything that an owner can do, except designating other owners and deleting the Tenant |
user | Manage the network, including adding Nodes and Edges; can only view/use Tenant-level attributes like Message Types and Functions |
read-only | View access only, cannot change any aspect of your Tenant |
NOTE - A Tenant must have at least one owner at all times!
