Every message that traverses your Tenant has a tracking identifier assigned to it.
This tracking identifier:
- is globally unique.
- is not tied to the message content.
- is assigned either
- on message creation.
- when the message is first seen by an EchoStream Internal Node (a Node in the EchoStream Cloud.
- is retained throughout the life of the message, even if the message changes type/format.
- is tracked as a previous tracking idenitifier if the message is split by a Processor Node.
- is stored in the audit record that is stored when the message is processed by each and every Node.
When used with the attributes stored in audit records by Message Type, this gives you the ability to idenitify and track any message from creation through delivery through the entier system. For many businesses this is a critical capability for compliance and service level agreements.
